Using this beautiful Wednesday to listen to a little REO Speedwagon mixed with a dash of Foreigner, a sprinkle of Bryan Adams, spiced with The Cars and topped with a little Cheap Trick.

What can I say, cheesy 80’s are my hump day jams.

I was getting really frustrated with my skin. I was constantly breaking out around my hairline and on my forehead, the blackheads in my nose decided they wanted to build their own colony and multiply, and my chin was beginning to look like a permanent Halloween costume.
-
I was using ALL the products and doing a 10 step Korean skin care regimen TWICE a day. @freskincare really changed my skin, and now my routine is 2 steps!

We all have baggage that we drag around. Hurts, worries, fears, etc. They weigh on us and we begin to adopt them as a part of “who we are.”
-
But have you ever tried letting them go? I know it sounds weird and like, “WTH RACH?!” But I’m serious. Yes that baggage, those situations absolutely sucked, but instead of adopting all of it as part of our identity, what if we just treated it as “something that happened,” and make the conscious choice to NOT let it define us?
-
Now don’t get me wrong, our experiences shape who we are in so many beautiful ways, but what I’m suggesting is not becoming of victim of those circumstances. Let’s also add here, letting it go, forgiving the person(s) that hurt us is by NO MEANS letting them off the hook, but letting yourself off the hook. By dragging that s**t around, we let the offender hurt us over and over and over again, everyday...And this causes us to live in a timeline and a story that is not fitting to who we truly were created to be.
-
Food for thought....

I woke up this morning and was having, what I hate to call, “a case of the Mondays.” 🤬😡
-
I woke up and started getting ready for my workout. I spilled my oatmeal all over the ground, tripped over my gym bag, had to attack some ants that decided to infiltrate my kitchen in the middle of the night, had to fight through my cardio because my ankles were hurting so bad... blah, blah, blah. 😑
-
I let myself get in this negative mindset, only focusing on what “wasn’t going right.” So I stopped, took a breath, and gave myself a little “pep talk,” and made a serious shift. -
So if you’re having on of those days, tell yourself “not today.” Do not allow a few small things (or large things) dictate who you are in this moment. We don’t get today today back, so let’s not waste our time on the BS. Focus on the things that make you happy, the tasks you’ve already accomplished, and where you’re going in life. This hiccup you’re having will pass, and in time you won’t remember why you were in such a crappy mood 😃😄 📷: @cainphotostudios

I like making new friends.

What a difference a year can make...
-
After my first competition, I had a really rough rebound. After trying to get ready for another show my coach @ifbbpro_meriza encouraged me to get my hormones checked. The appointment revealed that I had Hashimoto’s.
-
At first, I let it define me. I would talk about it all the time, get upset, etc. I had to go through my own grieving process to see myself to the other side.
-
During this time, I had amazing teammates that encouraged me, and a coach that pushed me to be stronger and healthier mentally, emotionally, and physically.
-
Thank you for seeing me through and not letting me give up!

I’m OBSESSED with skin care. I love trying new products and finding which ones works the best for my skin.
-
My problem areas include a very oily t-zone, blackheads, sporadic breakouts, and dry everywhere else.
-
A few friends told me about @freskincare It is specifically formulated for women who sweat. I gave it a few days and my skin began balancing out. It isn’t getting as oily in my t-zone, and my blackheads are FINALLY taking a break from their hourly show.
-
I’m big on this system because it is 100% cruelty free (something that is REALLY important to me) and vegan!

What is your biggest struggle with loving yourself?
-
I know I’ve written about it a lot on here, but my ultimate struggle has always been my weight or my size. I’m half Korean and half, well tons of stuff, but my culture has always influenced the way that I THOUGHT I should look and what was considered “beautiful.” I found myself hearing things from people I trusted that, I wasn’t “thin” enough, I was “too dark,” and that my thighs and butt were “too big.” Were any of these things true? Of course not, but when you’re constantly receiving criticism from those you trust, it makes you question your “body reality.”
-
All of a sudden, you begin to question yourself. For example if I love myself at such and such a weight, but I’m hearing from others that I am heavy, am I? The relationship you begin to have with yourself becomes one of constant struggle and distrust. And you begin to rank yourself with the numbers you see on the scale.
-
This has ALWAYS been my struggle, and I know other women struggle with similar issues. Know you’re beautiful, don’t listen to what people tell you. Start to nurture and develop a kind relationship with yourself, built on trust and loyalty. If someone comes in your path and tells you differently, well, F🦄❤️K ‘em.

When you don’t remember putting on deodorant.....

When I think of self-care, I think of spending time with my loves. Nothing is better than mama and Guinnee snuggles ❤️🐶😘
