You know you're a librarian when: you spend Sunday afternoon covering your kid's picture books in plastic Brodart jacket covers.

Sometimes you just gotta smile REAL big ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

This book, y'all. I knew it was a true story about a murder, but I didn't know how much more it was going to be or how much I've always been looking for this story. When I was very young, I learned that someone close to me had done something evil, and this has in a way been the central question of my life ever since: how do you reconcile all the good and evil parts of a person, how do you make sense of why they did what they did? In The Fact of a Body, Alexandra Marzano-Lesnevich seeks to understand a terrible criminal in order to answer questions from her own past. It's a fascinating, difficult, incredible, and special read. (Bonus: as her own narrator, she's fantastic.)

Nico gave his baby cousin mixed reviews, but she did get a li'l smooch before the night was over.

Delayed-at-the-airport reading.

Currently listening to (and loving) Sherman Alexie's upcoming memoir You Don't Have To Say You Love Me! Next up: a new full-length novel from the wonderful Maile Meloy, and Alan Alda's latest book of humor. (Also: I make space in my purse for these giant headphones because they're wireless and block out everything and I love them.) #audiobooks #loveaudiobooks
