...speaking of when we first brought Devon to an adoption event as our foster bunny in 2013. No one even took a second glance at him. Patrons of the Petco that hosted the adoption event and adoption applicants rushed right by him in order to get a better look at the rabbits with interesting colored fur.
Soon after this we adopted him as our own. Florida Whites and New Zealand whites generally have similar gentle and friendly dispositions and have been labeled the "Golden Retrievers of the rabbit world". Those of you who have been following us for a while know what a silly character Devon is and how he is full of unique personality. He brings us so much joy and entertainment daily and whether he was brown, gray, black, tan, spotted, lop-eared, Rex, or Lionhead I do not see how he could be ANY CUTER!!!! 😍
If anyone reading this is considering rabbit adoption please give every bunny a chance no matter what they look like. Visit your local shelter or rescue group and meet several bunnies to see which one connects with you. A common thread in many successful adoptions is that the Hoomin felt "chosen" by a certain bunny and went with it.
*of course Billie has to get her few seconds on camera too 😂😂😂
