I am Kaia MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod. I was born in 2006 in the village of Maastricht on the shores of the Meuse River. And I am intoxicated. That's an exert from a new script I'm working on called Kailander! What?! I'm not just a pretty face you know. However, I still need inspiration for my upcoming cinematic masterpiece so I figured where better to get the whiskers tingling than the @sircolincampbellpub in Kilburn. If I'd done a tad more research I'd have known that the Campbell, although it may sound Scottish, is an Irish boozer through and through. Recently aquired by the guys behind the fantastic @thecolonelfawcett, the Campbells interior has remained much the same other than an updated paint job and spruced up mirrors. It’s a comfortable and relaxing space with plenty of wood panelling spread across the two main rooms which are split by handsome central bar. The tap selection here is fairly standard but they’ve done a great job providing new and old punters with a delicious range of craft bottled/canned beers from the likes of @thekernelbrewery, @onemileend, @partizanbrewing and many more. The thing I really love about the Cambell is that unlike many craft beer pubs targeting a younger crowd, they haven’t forgotten about the people that made this pub what it is today. Finding a balance between old and new is difficult in modern London but the Cambell has somehow retained it’s soul and hopefully this will continue well into the future. As I sit outside and sip my pint of @darkstarbrewco Amercian Brown I wonder if there are any other attractive Shibas wandering the streets of London exploring pubs? That’s ridiculous…...There can be only one!
