Priscilla Amado  u n l i m i t e d β˜₯

Release & Rejoice circa 2014 in Fogo, Cabo VerdeπŸ’›πŸ’«βœ¨

This picture means everything to me. I just added it to my ancestor alter as a representation of my strongest closest ancestors who I'll continue to honor in this life. Papa (my mother's father) was a unique circumstance of grieving because he was murdered in front of me when I was 4 years old and my young mind was unable to process it and suppressed the memory as a post traumatic coping mechanism. It wasn't until recent years that my spiritual growth and mental development allowed me to visit the depths of my consciousness to go through a deep grieving and healing that has brought me full circle into my purpose. Vovo Djadjade (my father's mother) is the first loss of a grandparent I've experienced full on. This is because I never met my grandfather Domingo Amado from daddy's side, and I'm lucky to still have my Vovo Aldina from Mommy's side. I'm aware that not all people are able to deal with and communicate with spirit in this way so for that I am honored and greatly thankful that I feel and know who I am and the truth of this physical experience making me able to connect deeply with those who came before me. It's our birthright but so many of us have been striped away from our legacy as the original people of the earth with tremendous responsibility to restore balance Ma'at . I am not only awakened, eye am enlightened and my ancestors walk with me guiding and protecting my spirit holding the feather of truth affirming balance will be restored to the universe! Healer. Emancipator. I am recharged by the transition of my GRANDma - it is in divine order, what we call the circle of life π“‹Ή (ah, it just feels so great to express myself freely in truth without fear of the perspective of those limiting themselves - took long enough to get here, many sacrifices, lots of discipline and I'm filled with joy)😊

My Vovo made her transition. Although she lives in me, all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all the other lives she's touched, it's still been a difficult release. We hold onto the memories and the physical even as the spirit lives on, its natural. She was blessed to have lived 95 years, be back in Fogo (the island she was born on) as she wanted, being cared for by so many who loved her. I was lucky enough to have spent months in Fogo in her home with her in her old age. Mourning her passing is part of the process of aiding her spirit through to the next realm. My tears have been of sadness and joy as I celebrate her life and the fact that I wouldn't be here if it weren't for this wonderful woman. Divine balance. She is the archetype of authenticity, speaking her mind regardless of who felt what way about it... it's always necessary to appreciate that bold honesty, courage and strength. Long live Vovo Djadjade! πŸ˜’πŸ’«

#TBT Nola in 2015 after the 10th anniversary of Katrina we got to meet Malik Rahim, founder of the Louisiana chapter of the original Black Panther Party, and Robert King, the first of the Angola 3 to be released from prison after spending 29 years in solitary confinement. If you're not familiar with the story of the Angola 3 I recommend the documentary "In the Land of the Free" . We shared some of that trip to Nola via "Truth Be Told" on including a video clip of our conversation with Malik Rahim.

True awareness is when you realize that there isn't one way at a particular time -there's ANY way ALL the time. So much talk about "consciousness& #34; leaves us with a plethora of contradictions and the bias correlations to knowledge. You're not conscious because you know some shit. You're not conscious because you're spiritually aware, or historically aware, or health aware, etc.... consciousness is ever expanding. Can you be conscious of everything at all times?? Do you even believe what you "know& #34;? Are your actions even in alignment with what you "know& #34;? Foundation ally, if you're not conscious of your thoughts and you can't control your mind or your behavior, that's where you NEED to focus. Consciousness is internal not external... we don't need to debate ideas, we just need to explore conflicting ideas critically without individual bias. Truth makes sense! Truth is balanced. Truth is simple. I'll leave it at that cause this "conscious& #34; shit got me πŸ˜’. Yea you "woke& #34; , but conscious? Yea miss me with that... all love though lol sharing insights and thoughts for those who value substance✨😊

Quick as we are to run to clean someone else's mess, you'd think we'd take care of our own dirty laundry first... Captured by @prestonroundtree

He. We. Continue to be free expressions of authenticity. It's easy overlook everything right in front of you, to want more... we're making this spring about falling deeper into ourselves and seeing all the beauty and blessings right in front of us. This is my main one😍
