It was a wild ride getting this project ready for PAX. We had only 3 weeks to finish this beast, from designing it to 3D printing to painting and assembly. After a lot of sleepless nights, lots of coffee and a whole lot of miles from Albuquerque to Seattle we brought this build to life. It's based on the Wardcliff Coil exotic from the Bungie game "Destiny 2 (@destinythegame)". A rare rocket launcher which made for the perfect chassis for this crazy idea we had in the back of our heads.
Our product designer, chief marketing officer and the head of our marketing department, as well as Elliot (@sterling_pc) pulled in some crazy hours to make sure this life-sized replica of the gun became reality. We spent about 130 hours designing, and at least the same amount 3D printing the chassis working of assets from the game and we even managed to watercool it! Ron Lee Christianson from @bluehorse.studios made sure that the paint job on it was looked like the actual in-game weapon and the resulting build looked absolutely breathtaking. And a big thank you to Jeff from @metaljeffmods for pulling through for us and cutting all the metal parts of the build!
To everyone who had the chance to visit us as at the Paramount Theater in Seattle - Thank you! Seeing your reactions and having the chance to talk to you in person about it made all of this crazyness worth it. We cannot wait to see what the future holds.
A big thank you to our partners - @ballistixgaming and @gigabyteusa for helping us make this project a reality. We couldn't have done it with you!
