We are happy to announce the addition of the La Vista Police Department to the Pink Patch Project. They are our first partners from the Great State of Nebraska!
LVPD is offering their pink patches for a $10 donation and they can be purchased by emailing Chief Bob Lausten at firstname.lastname@example.org.
La Vista PD is supporting the Scare Away Cancer charity created by MCL Construction of Omaha. Scare Away Cancer originated from the “Kayla’s Crew” support for cancer-stricken 33-year-old Kayla Hebenstreit, the wife of Joe Hebenstreit Jr., who are close family friends with Chief Lausten. Kayla was a cancer survivor and became pregnant in 2014. After delivery of a healthy baby girl, Kayla’s scans revealed the cancer was back. She battled but passed away from her cancer in July 2015, leaving behind her husband and year-old daughter. MCL Construction, Joe’s employer, supported Joe throughout the battle and embraced the idea of supporting cancer patients, families, and programs in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa, with 100% of the funds. You can learn more about Scare Away Cancer on their website at http://www.scareawaycancer.org/
Please join us in welcoming the La Vista Police Department and support them by getting one of their nice looking pink patches!
