Today was all about catching up after being "off the grid" for two weeks! It sure is nice to be home โ˜บ๏ธ I'm actually leaving again tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜‚ but just for less than two days for a very special event in Orlando. Then back to Austin for two @pieceologyvtg pop ups this weekend. Time to rally! #ouratxcasita

Well, that's a wrap! We made it back home to Austin safe and sound a couple of hours ago but here's just one more of my favorite shots from our trip at the active Volcรกn Masaya a few days ago. Fun fact: You're only allowed to stay up there for a few minutes because of all that spewing sulphur behind us in this photo. Also, seeing lava IRL was pretty unreal! Anyway, we had to wake up at 4AM to catch our flight so it's time for me to catch some ๐Ÿ’ค Night y'all!

I'm sure gonna miss these views! This was my first time traveling in Central America and I did my best to absorb as much as possible. I know all of my photos and IG stories have shown all the beauty this country has to offer, but it'd be dishonest of me to not mention what else I saw -- the poverty among the people here. I don't take that lightly and it has certainly been eye opening. We've got it real good back home and if you ever get to experience this amazing place I hope you'll recognize that it's not all pretty palm trees and colorful buildings. Traveling is educational and that's a huge reason why I do it so often. Gaining a new perspective is a powerful thing. Thank you Nicaragua! I hope to visit again soon. And thank you @adventuringjake for being the best travel partner/tour guide of all time!

Made it to Managua for our final day before heading home to Austin tomorrow and stumbled upon a cute little coffee shop/jewelry boutique. We soon realized that 100% of the proceeds go to a job skill training program for Nicaraguan women that didn't have the opportunity to finish their basic education. Pretty awesome! Plus, the coffee was excellent too! #churecachic

It's our last day in Nicaragua and we're heading from Leรณn back to Managua this morning. Sad to be leaving this amazing city. There is so much rich culture and history in Leรณn. Unlike any other place we've been during this trip. I ๐Ÿ’ฏ% recommend visiting here! | ๐Ÿ“ท: @adventuringjake

Today we went volcano boarding along the active Volcรกn Cerro Negro. @adventuringjake almost didn't take me because he thought I'd make him carry my board all the way up the 45 minute hike ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm pleased to say I did not! And I made it all the way up + all the way down without hurting myself ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป #ididthatshit

We had a blast exploring the Cathedral in Leรณn today. One of the most gorgeous sites I've ever seen! No shoes allowed! Plus, we got our first photo together this whole trip that wasn't a selfie ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ซ

Finally got a good palm tree shot after traveling in the jungle for almost two weeks ๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒด We've been exploring Leรณn today and it may be my favorite city we've visited so far ๐Ÿ’š

Goes to Nicaragua, wears Hawaiian shirt and @curiousramblers "Meet me in Marfa" tote ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™„ Also, this is by far my favorite wall in Granada. So unique! | ๐Ÿ“ท: @adventuringjake

Spent today wandering around the town of Masaya, only a short bus ride from Granada. We explored their artisanal market and bought some fun crafty things to bring home with us. We also made time to take a little break and enjoy a couple of fresh fruit smoothies ๐Ÿ˜‹

A perfect view from a perfect seat ๐ŸŒด Back in Granada but missing the water already ๐Ÿ’ฆ | ๐Ÿ“ท: @adventuringjake

Breakfast @aquawellnessresort before heading back to Granada this morning! The food was delicious and this place was the perfect Valentine's getaway ๐Ÿ’˜ Going to miss it!
