I've always been fascinated with locks. combination, key, doesn't matter. i'd own hundreds if I could. & nothing's better than one whose patina has been created by countless turns of human fingers.
I very much appreciate the dedication that went into keeping the combo tag in existence. although well worn, it is essential. except maybe for the person who owned it and committed it to memory.
My son Iggy told me that I should name it "lock, with paper". I see his point, but I decided to harken back to the first days of learning how to open these things.
