After a great day in the Pentlands, I get to relax to this view😊I never get tired of this view from my flat on nights like this. Taken today at 17:40 with no filter 😊

A canny wee last minute planned hike up the Pentlands. First 5 tops route of the year and in record time! #eyw #edinburghyoungwalkers

When the weather is crap and I can't get out on the hills, it always makes me think of past adventures. There isn't many better treks than the Laugavegur trek in Iceland. I took this during trek in 2015 at one of our camps at Álftavatn. Wish I was back there now.

After a day of decorating, it's made me think it's time for my next big hiking adventure! Got me thinking of the Tour du Mont Blanc ten day trek I did back in 2013. This is me having an early morning stretch outside Rifugio Bonatti before heading off on the next leg. The refuge is located at 2025m altitude, at the mouth of Malatrà Valley. It overlooks a panorama that encompasses the chain of Mont Blanc, from Col de la Seigne to Col Ferret. Ah to back back there right now! 😊

Another photo from last Sunday's hike up Meall Glas. Wish I was out in such conditions again today. More images from the day can be found on my blog, link in my bio.

A whiteout summit selfie up Meall Glas (Munro #53 ) yesterday.

Who said there is no snow in Scotland! What an epic hike. Just over 8 hours and 1177m in awesome winter conditions mostly in a whiteout. Give me snow and ice over summer any day! Meall Glas, Munro number 53 off my list😀

Stunning skyline view from my living room tonight 😀#nofilter

Another from the summit on yesterday's hike up Schiehallion. You can just see two fellow hikers bottom right to give you sense of scale. No filter used 😊

Finally bagged Schiehallion (No. 52/282) Munro at third attempt! Some awesome cloud inversions! This was one of my favourite shots I took as we descended. Love the different layers of colours.

Always great to get your first hike of the year under your belt. Ben Cleuch (721m) in the Ochils, only 50 mins drive from the Burgh. It doesn't always have to be Munros 😊 What a day! Hello winter! 😀

Beautiful morning in the village this morning.
