The burden of proof cannot be placed on the survivor because in many instances there is no proof. I had a life changing moment in Chicago when @michellemaros was living there after college graduation.
I walked her to work and spent the day walking around the city.

As I began walking all I could see were the faces of everyone I passed. Faces that we’re tired, stressed, worried, anxious, and very little happiness.

So I started smiling at everyone, looking straight into their eyes. Over and over the words came from deep with my heart, “I see you. All is well.”

Hour after hour, face after face, I connected deeply with everyone I greeted with a smile. This day changed me forever. #weareone

Every day in some form, We are in this life to learn and grow.

When you are hurt acknowledge the hurt, spend time feeling the pain, and ask yourself questions so that you will understand what happened, and how.

Once you feel it deeply, name it, understand all that happened, now you're ready to learn what it has to teach you and move on. Moving on doesn’t mean it magically happens right now. This beginning process is a huge step in your healing so take some deep breaths, be patient, and trust the process.

When you do the work, one day at a time, you are healing my loves, every step of the way. 💪 💛

Just make the decision that you will not gossip or ever speak with malice about anyone.

Not easy, but if you have the intention, you will begin to notice that when people are “hating on other people” you feel uncomfortable and become a master at shifting the conversation.

Try this: the convo turns negative and instead of leaving or engaging in the gossip you ask someone this for example, “How was your ski trip last winter?” This works for me every time.

You can be the change my loves. Just don’t do it. ✌️

Between stimulus and response there is a space. Before you react or take any action, pause, take several deep breaths, ask yourself, “What am I feeling right now? What is the best action I can take in this moment?”

Your freedom lies in accessing this space and making a choice. This is your power my loves. The breath is your stress management tool, use it often and respond to life from a place of confidence and calm. 💫💯👍
