PBOT  Official account of the Portland Bureau of Transportation. We keep Portland moving.

PBOT staffer David is out installing signage to help folks understand where to park on Rosa Parks in it's new configuration. Thanks, David! And thanks #Portland for parking correctly! #pdxtraffic #pdxbikes #pdx 👍👍👍👍

Hooray for this newly completed pedestrian crossing project at SE Water & Taylor. The project includes curb extensions, marked crosswalks and a new streetlight on the southeast corner. During excavation for the sidewalk and curb on the northeast corner, underground storage tanks were discovered. A total of seven tanks were removed! This delayed project construction and extended the project boundaries considerably. Following the tank removal and cleanup, the curb extensions were completed, a fire hydrant relocated, a new street light installed, and our maintenance crews reconstructed the pavement at the intersection, removing abandoned rail and cobblestone. Traffic control throughout the extended duration of the construction was very challenging and the patience and understanding of the surrounding businesses and traveling public is greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

Sunday Parkways kicks off a new season this weekend in SE Portland!
Those who complete the @kpthrive Sticker Hunt this year will also receive a collectible (and totally rad) neighborhood decal as a prize. Collect all five from each neighborhood throughout the season!

Sunday Parkways’ 11th season will include five traffic-free events highlighting five different Portland neighborhoods and will include a new route in the downtown/central eastside of Portland -- the Green Loop.
