Paula Thonney  Oregon. Woodworking. Trees. Teaching. Making.

Ferns part 3.

Ferns at the land. Finally brought the camera with me yesterday. Worked on limbing up trees and burning dead matter, to satisfy both my tidying impulse and the secondary firebreak requirements.

Fern obsession.

April is trilliums, May is irises, June is daisies.

More spring: violets, poppies sprouting, and wild strawberries.

Getting a bunch of brush burned feels like spring cleaning. Also trilliums are up, and wild irises are on the way.

Curves, lines, dots.

Sometimes it's helpful to see the underlying structure.

These are Oregon trees, too.

Mom and Dad's backyard. Which I privately refer to as the cathedral. Tall oaks swaying in the wind.
