If you are eating multiple meals per day, and they contain too many carbs, your insulin is continually rising to deal with the rising tide of blood sugar, and fat burning is consistently cut off. Simply put, your body always gives carbs priority treatment 🙇

☝️Most dieters only use the scale to measure a diets effectiveness but that doesn't give any information as to what is actually being lost:
👉 Muscle
👉 Fat
👉 Water
Changes in body weight does not tell the full story.
The scale is not an indicator if the diet is working.
It is even more important to be aware when discussing the Ketogenic diet due to shifts in water weight.
It should be understood that the initial weight loss on a Ketogenic diet is water.
This is especially critical when individuals come off a Ketogenic diet.
The rapid weight gain which occurs when carbohydrates are reintroduced into the diet, which can be 3-5 pounds per day, can be psychologically devestating to dieters.
In the same way that fat cannot be lost extremely rapidly, it is physiologically impossible to gain 3-5 pounds of true body fat per day. 👊

Eat less exercise more is simple. But humans are not simple. Quantity of calories is not the only factor. The type of calorie matters. And if you're having problems. It's most likely NOT the FAT ☺️

A nice reminder that nutrition is only the starting point. The first step. The fuel. Worthless if not used appropriately. With purpose.
