I was born in Kurdistan. When I was 3 years old I witnessed Saddam‘s poison attack. And then 1991 the golf war, i remember 2003 sitting at home all worried and scared waiting for a sign of my family. Are they good? Are they even alive? Who didn’t make it or have they been lucky enough to flee before they have been attacked? I lost 21 family members and friends so far, and I hate how the number is growing. It was our beautiful women and men, the Kurds who destroyed and still clean areas from the ISIS, now those who they saved are attacking us. By killing innocent civilians out of greed. Why is it so bad for us to have our own country? Why is it even worth killing our children? Why do they let our peshmerga fight the ISIS and conquer back their cities and then attack us when all we did was help. War is no answer. Im exhausted, my eyes are heavy and tired from crying... I wish i could help the people but all I can do is sit here and wait.. the least I can do is to use my social media account for sharing something that so matters. Kirkuk, Kurdistan, my beautiful Kurdistan, they have done you so wrong and yet you are so strong! Please stay strong!
