REVIEW: @Salthousetapas, Liverpool 1. 🇪🇸🍹🥘🍖🍷 Probably my favourite place to eat in Liverpool 🤷♂️. . The menu is creative and is both executed and presented well while most importantly sticking to its theme without culturally appropriating (a sad rarity these days). Standout dishes worth mentioning, have to be the braised pork cheek (pic 3), slow cooked octopus (pic 2) deep fried monte enebro goats cheese and hake (both not pictured), great thing is that the menu does change every now and then too! (always a good sign) The sangria slaps as well 👌 . No place is perfect I must say, I'm disappointed by the selection of charcuterie available (there's like 2/3??? 😕) as by description its supposed to be a charcuteria. And while some dishes are exceptional, some seem to a touch lackadaisical in execution, giving the restaurant a confusing identity crisis of contemporary Spanish tapas versus lowkey bar snacks with your drinks? The fish menu particularly excites me so I'd love to see how they can be more creative and switch things up the next time I go. Apart from the menu, I really like the decor and vibe of the place too it's a fantastic place to catch up with friends and the staff provide great service and are knowledgable about the menu (big turn off when they aren't) overall its a 8.5/10 for me. Can't wait to go back 🙏 . Thanks to hunnis @sandorbako & @eilishsumner for the assist with this one. Hope to see you both again soon!
