Amsterdam'da reform hareketi sonrasında Katolik kiliseleri yasaklanınca ibadet yapılan gizli evlerden biri Yahudi mahallesinde oluşturulur. Evin kapısına Musa heykeli konur (2), arkasındaki eve ise Harun. Heykeller Jan Baptist De Cuyper'a ait. Besteci Willem de Fesch, buradaki müzik kolejinde eğitim görür.
Yasağın kalktığı 19.yy'da yerine bugünkü büyük kilise yapılır, adı Musa ve Harun Kilisesi (1) olur. O dönemde önündeki kanal henüz doldurulmamıştı (3). 1866'da Franz Liszt burada konser verir. Doldurulan yerde şimdi Waterlooplein bit pazarı var. 🇬🇧When the Catholic churches are banned after the reform movement, one of the underground houses (schuilkerken) was established here in the Jewish quarter, Amsterdam. Moses statue was placed on the facade of the house (2), the Aaron's at the second house. The statues were sculpted by Jan Baptist De Cuyper. Composer Willem de Fesch studied at the music college here. In the 19th century, when the ban was abolished, today's big church was built, and named as Moses and Aaron Church (1). At that time, the canal in front was not yet
filled (3). In 1866 Franz Liszt performed here. There is a flea market on the filled square (Waterlooplein) now.
