Are you listening to what the prospect is telling you by giving 100% focus and attention your prospects and talking less OR are you doing most of the talking?
.
If you're doing most of the taking, then you're not really listening to what the prospect is telling you and you are really just focusing on yourself!
.
Stop focusing on yourself by telling the prospect how great your opportunity is and instead focus on the actual prospect that you are talking to by getting to know them! You don't know yet if what you've got to offer is a fit for them or not so stop focusing on yourself!
.
When you are not listening to your prospects, they will sense it a mile away which means you've lost them completely if all you are trying to do is get a sign up from them and not actually interested in the prospect in what they are looking for...
.
Instead of doing that, you need to talk to each person individually and see how you can help them based on their specific needs, wants and desires...realise this when you are connecting with people... NOT everyone is money motivated where they join your business just for money, they could joining because:
A) The training that is being offer
B) The mentoring / coaching
C) The products / services that they offer
.
These are some of the reasons but you won't know why they will join unless you find out so never assume that people will join just because of money because that is not the case.

How do you go about doing that? Ask questions and build the relationship. You do that by finding out
1) What they are struggling with
2) What problems and challenges are they facing that needs solving
3) What are they looking for?
4) How can I best serve them.
.
Until you know the answer to those questions above, you won't know if what you've got to offer will be of a fit for them..
.
This is why it's important that you listen to the prospect so you can see how you can best serve them and give a solution that fits their needs!
