Some of you have been asking about how to enter split pose. So here’s a lil vid πŸ˜‰
1️⃣ start off on one knee with one leg straight in front of you. Make sure your back is nice and straight.
2️⃣ Use yoga blocks to slowly enter the pose. Keep your front leg straight, hips lined and back straight. Hold this pose for at least 30 seconds.
3️⃣ Slowly lower yourself closer to the ground while keeping you back straight and hips lined. Try not to slide your weight to either side of your body.Try and maintain position at least 30 seconds before lowering more.

Keeping you back straight and hips lined helps get your split straight and not have to correct it later on. This may make the process longer because hips are not as easily trained as legs for flexibility.

4️⃣ You can place Γ  yoga block under your leg or hip to maintain the position. I find this helps a lot to maintain the position longer and evenly distribute your weight.
5️⃣ Keep gradually lowering yourself to the ground until you can fully enter side split pose. Remember to evenly distribute your weight as not not slide to one side.
6️⃣ Gently exit the pose and relax your legs.
7️⃣ TRAIN THE OTHER SIDE! πŸ˜‰
