Any plan is better than no plan, even if it’s significantly relaxed compared to normal.
When you enter a busy season, rather than ditching diet and exercise, come up with a realistic plan that won’t destroy any progress you’ve made so far.
The holidays are a perfect example.
It’s probably not realistic to be very strict this time of year and strive for maximum fat loss. Instead, use a simpler plan to work on maintaining what you’ve achieved.
It could be anything from “I’ll keep my diet the same unless I’m at a party, then I’ll eat whatever I want,” to “I have freedom to eat whatever I want this month, but only one per opportunity. No gorging myself on infinite brownies.” Whatever route you take, the occasional detour is fine, but leave your GPS on so you don’t get completely lost.
