A little lesson on measuring! I never used to measure, I would always mix to “consistency” but I started having gray coverage not cover so well, tint went to light or to dark, bleach wound not lift as well as I wanted, and guess what I did! I blamed it on the product! I didn’t take accountability for my inconsistencies. So I did a little digging and some research!
I found that measuring is so important because a chemical reaction is taking place and if the mixture is too acidic or alkaline things won’t go as planned! You have to have the perfect amount of alkaline(color) and acidic(developer) so the right amount of oxygen is released so the cuticle can swell just the right amount then the pigment can deposit! And it’s not always 1:1 and that’s why swatch books/directions are so important! Just like that my life changed! Measuring has changed my life behind the chair! I never have coverage problems, my bleach lifts consist and even. I know I will be right on level. My work has dramatically gotten better the last 6 months and I have grown my clientele substantially!
