Ever since I started dating my wife who is of Filipino descent and loves Filipino food I began to realize that there wasn't a lot of health and fitness resources on "healthy" Asian cuisine. . .
I decided that I will take the time and effort to learn as much as possible and showcase some cliff notes on how to eat healthy while still enjoying Asian food you're used to from back home. . .
Today we are taking a journey and starting with Sushi as it's a universal food that the whole world eats and for many a standard lunch and dinner on a daily basis if you like to eat out. . .
With some simple changes, you can still go out and enjoy the experience without being that person that says "no I can't go out I'm on a diet..." . .
1. Start with miso soup! This trick works in any situation. Soup is filling, if you start off with a bowl, of soup you'll end up eating fewer calories eating out at a restaurant. One cup of miso soup is about 100 calories and 8 grams of protein as it contains those little tofu bits. . .
2. Sashimi! For one piece of salmon sashimi equals 56 calories and 5.6 grams of protein. You can load up on this, and you won't feel like you're depriving yourself. . .
3. Seaweed or Japanese Salad - Its low calories, tastes delicious as its dressing is sesame oil, and it will keep you full! . .
