This looks like it would work on my 2011 WRX with a Perrin FMIC ...... I currently have your old BPV , thoughts?

Is a tune required for this? My car is stock @perrin_performance

Weird ive never seen a leaky stock bpv and i work on hundreds of wrxs

@1_bad_r3x Not this one, but we do have one for you! Part number PSP-TAC-610 😬

@j1king2 Please explain why this would need a tune? ....

  • 8w ago perrin_performance perrin_performance

@j1king2 On the 2015+ WRX’s they are plastic and do not seal up around 1-5psi, take a look at our website we have diagram showing this. 😬

@mo_rourke14 Great question! No it is not 🤗 This is a recirculating BPV, this functions the same as your OEM one and does not changes your AFR’s enough to harm anything on the car.

I’m still a little confused on the flow control, why is that necessary when the stock one or any other BPV doesn’t have that?

  • 8w ago alawrencephotos alawrencephotos

    Especially since it’s 100% recirculating

  • 8w ago perrin_performance perrin_performance

@alawrencephotos Great question! The flow control screw allows you to control the volume of air released when the BPV vents. Adjusting the volume of air helps maintain the perfect amount of boost in your system during shifts without causing compressor surge.
