Fat loss plateaus are very common and they will happen to everyone on a fat loss journey.
•

Here's 6 of them and how to overcome them👊
•

Cal deficit becomes cal maintenance. Eventually you will have to eat less to drop fat and this is because as you become smaller your metabolic rate slows down.
-
Not moving as much outside of exercise. Walking moving etc accounts for much more of your daily Cals burnt than exercise as we spend more time doing it.
-
Not being as consistent. This can mean you keep falling off the wagon, having a good week then a bad week.
-
Underestimating when eating out. Stop giving yourself too much wiggle room or simply stop eating out all the time and cook your own meals.
-
You need a diet break. When your in a cal deficit eventually your fat burning hormones slow down. Bumping your calories up for a day or two will kick start those hormones again.
-
Poor sleep quality. It's been proven that if you're tired and don't get enough sleep it can hinder the fat burning process. Also your energy will be poor which can lead to not moving as much.

    I try to get as many steps in as I can on the weekend. Especially if the weather is nice. I often hit 20k steps on a Saturday without realising. It also clears the head and helps me sleep better too 😴 🛏 💤
