Why design a space where children can interact intimately with digital languages? It is not a choice anymore for teachers to include or not include digital technology in the daily life of the classroom, it is a responsibility. Children are growing up in a reality that is interdependent with the digital.
Inspired by educators in Reggio Emilia, Italy, we are asking the following questions: What does it mean for children to be producers and creators of a digital language?
What does it mean for children to be in dialogue with the digital?
To support this research, we have redesigned our studio space to become a studio of digital experiences. Here are images from initial investigations in this new space.
