Can you feel it? We live in a culture and climate that tends to invalidate any emotion that is seen as negative. Sad? Cheer up! Angry? Release it! Grief? You’ll feel better soon! What this does is encourage us not to process, and instead many of us develop habits and coping mechanisms that are counter-productive, some of which lead to devolving mental and physical health.
Your feelings are valid, all of them. You were built to feel and survive the pain, sorrow, frustration, as well as the love, happiness, and joy. Allow yourself to feel it, embody it, then transmute it to something that serves your greater good. You are the magic, your feelings are your wand. Abracadabra.
