It's often hard to go from a kipping handstand push up to a strict one. One way to make that transition is to work on limiting the kipping motion until you no longer need to kip. -
Notice I start using a really aggressive hip and leg opening then use them less. This can help you gain the strength to learn a strict hspu. Sometimes it's not an all or nothing type of thing.
This should not replace working box push-ups and parallette hspu with a spot!
