💧 The warm/hot water stimulates the gastrointestinal tract and peristalsis—involuntary constriction and relaxation of the muscles of the intestine or another canal, creating wavelike movements that push the contents moving forward. I like to describe it as a warm up for your organs, kind of like how you jog before you run. 🍋 The lemon is high in vitamins and minerals, aids in digestion, clears skin, hydrates the body. I often ask for lemon wedges and hot water when dining out too. You can also add spices to give it some flavor.
