"Our earthly journey is a journey made together with the environment, with nature, with the cosmos...." - Loris Malaguzzi, 'Loris Malaguzzi and the Schools of Reggio Emilia
As part of their ongoing research around the role of eco-empathy in the early childhood classroom, the 2, 3, and 4 year-old children of Rooms 7 and 15 traveled to Eco-Cycle to tour the recycling facilities. When preparing for the adventure, the children responded to videos of the facility:
Sven: Garbage Trucks! Soren: And a gajillion garbage! Sven: There's a billion garbage! And conveyor belts! And a forklift!
How do you offer experiences to foster eco-empathy in your contexts?
