Dynamic Reformer Pilates.....what does that even mean?
Our pioneering interpretation and use of the Reformer machine is less holistic, less traditional and not a 'purist' form of the discipline. We were the first Dynamic Reformer studio of our kind when we opened in Mt. Maunganui in 2011 and our Dynamic approach was and is different from what was already out there. However, all the original fundamental teachings of Pilates are present; we teach spine, pelvic and shoulder awareness and positioning. We focus on the breath, the tempo of movement and the need to develop core strength in it's truest sense - the ability to transfer and manage (resist or initiate) force and load from the limbs without compensations in the spine, hips or shoulders.
Once you have all that we then push you through hard, total body sessions that force physiological change in your strength, condition, flexibility and well-being......plus you're look leaner and fitter than ever.
We are tactile, we will get our hands on you and position you the way we want you in any given movement under any given load. You will know whether what you are doing is correct or not, it won't be left to chance, we will watch you closely.
