All I wanted to do was run through all the torii gates at Fushimi Inari Taisha and get to the top (read: GET. TO. THE. TOP. NOW) and you were dead tired and just wanted ice cream a third of the way through. You warned me it was going to take a while, and you said your legs were aching, yet I chose to be a little selfish and I remained persistent.
A few years ago we took a spontaneous hike in Kaliurang, Indonesia, and I lost my sunglasses and tripped up a slope and I laughed and we were in stitches after that. That time, I persisted. We didn’t get to the top, you logic-ed me out of it (eventually) but you logic me out of many things where I’m being unreasonable.
I like to push boundaries. I try to be reasonable. Sometimes I’m not, but you put up with it until I learn. You are patient with me even when I’m not patient.
