Hello yogis πŸ’š welcome to #ElementsOfFirefly day 2!.

Today we are focusing on our Hips and hamstrings. To be able to do firefly we need deep hip flexion, external hip rotation and stretched hamstrings and today and tomorrow we are focusing on those areas.
.
1. Start on your back and work on bringing each knee to the chest with an exhalation. Pull knnes a bit to the side to get to a deeper flexion and do the same with both knees pulled to the chest.
.
2. Do the haply baby pose pressing on the soles to deepen the hip flexion. You can even play in the pose by straightening the legs to work on the hamstrings.
.
3. Start stretching the hamstrings. Interlace the fingers behind the knee and with every exhalation straighten the leg. After few repetirions hold the stretch. .
3a. While holding the stretch roll the ankle and point the heel than fingers. .
3b. Use your hand to massage the back of the hamstrings to release the tension and relax the muscle. Then try to stretch further.

3c. Use a strap to stretch further. Pull the straight leg towards you and straighten the opposite leg trying to place the heel and calf down.

4. Repeat all on the other side πŸ™
