Jarred Papcsy’s path to being a Fargo wrestling All-American took a more complicated route than most.

The Bethlehem Catholic senior finished sixth at 138 pounds at the USAW Junior Greco-Roman Nationals at Fargo, N.D., but he may have had a leg up on some foes.

That’s because Papcsy, a Duke commit, traveled to Denmark and Germany earlier in July with veteran international coach Rich Estrella (2008 U.S. Greco coach) and his Young Lion teams. “It was awesome – the experience of a lifetime,” Papcsy said. “We learned so much about wrestling. We had two or three practices a day, and we competed in duals against teams from Denmark, The Netherlands, and Germany. We did a lot of training.”
