Guys I'm back in Perth!! I took a break from social media while I was in the US, because I just wanted to live in the moment and enjoy the company of family and friends.
But never fear, I was still taking millions of photos... and a lot of Snapchats which I've saved for IG posts. I will be picking out the best ones and I also have some reviews of top restaurants that I went to for you πŸ™‹πŸΌ It's been a pretty slow week, with returning to work after nearly 9 weeks off and I've just been exhausted 😩 #jetlag
I jumped on the scales this morning for the first time since I ate my way around Peru and the US and couldn't believe that the number wasn't too bad at all. HOW???!! So that seemed like a good excuse to start the weekend with a delicious breakfast 🍳 from @typikaclaremont. I hadn't been to Typika for quite a while, and after this morning I'm thinking... why don't I eat here more often! I think we got lucky as there wasn't a wait for a table and the service was great too. We went for the "angry bird" with optional added sunny side egg 🍳 and the spiced beef Benedict (on GF toast). They were both great. The zingy harissa hollandaise and the slow cooked beef were a winning combination. The fried chicken πŸ— on the angry bird was perfectly cooked and the sauce added a good amount of spice to the dish. Extra points for the note on the menu that the meat used is locally sourced and free range πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸ»and also some of the best GF bread 🍞 I've had to date! One thing I will say, it is on the pricier side, costing $60 for breakfast and coffee for two, but it was so tasty and good quality, so I won't hesitate to eat here again very soon.
