    @carmiemills I've only tried Pruvit products because Joe Rogan and Tim Ferris both mentioned they use it. And I have small man crushes on them both haha

    Thanks for this! So many keto heads poo-pooing exogenous ketones!!! But they rock! @carmiemills go with pruvit all the way. They are third party tested to have the best results as far as elevation of blood ketones go

    Honestly, the way I look at it is we get all our energy exogenously. We ingest food, our bodies convert that to energy through several different pathways. A fuel source is a fuel source and it is just a matter of how you choose which you wish to consume! Ingesting ketones is no different than ingesting a packet of goo in my opinion! Other than goo is disgusting and my ketones aren't!! Haha So, long story short no, my answer is no!! 😁

    Depends on the goal and what should be done. If the focus is on brain health, nothing wrong with exogenous ketones. If the focus is insulin resistance and losing weight, then you're not exactly tackling the issue head on. If used as training wheels for keto-adaptation or as a 'preworkout' I would think that's fine too. But one shouldn't be reliant on them to compensate for the bodily mechanisms that produce endogenous ketones.

    I eat keto, do IF, and have MCT every day. I have exogenous ketones when I feel like I need a little extra boost.

    Great post. It’s been on my mind lately with my hectic workout/job demands. I need a boost of energy but don’t want to increase my fats at the moment as I’d like to lean out but be able to lift heavy weights. I absolutely agree that I don’t believe that you can cheat and loose weight but for brain fog, fatigue and as a preworkout it should be safe to use.
