Instagram post by @kinobees BeeNinja

Last one with Prisma filters I promise....for a few posts at least.πŸ˜… I felt like I should commemorate the unexpected IG success of the #dronebone video with a selfie of gratitude. It got over 100,000 views and brought my followers count up to 2K!!! It really makes my day to share some of the amazing things I get to see and experience working with honeybees. This is a lifelong pursuit for me and I appreciate your support! Of course the true stars of this show are the amazing bees! 🐝🐝🐝 They never cease to amaze and I'm grateful to witness and in some ways, be a part of the intricate role they play in the web of life. I'm also a big IG fan myself, so all of your posts are truly appreciated too! I learn so much and am constantly inspired by all of you! Mahalo, arigato, xiexie, danke schoen and thank you! #igrules#iloveig#beekeeper#beekeeping#gratitude#prismafilter#2kfollowers

@scambone lol yes you were probably one of my first 100 followers! TBH, the video hasn't really gotten me much more followers, the video just has a life of its own now. I'm just stoked so many people got to see a drones penis!

How long have you been beekeeping? Have you heard of the flohive? Or flow hive..whatever it is. It gave me an interest in beekeeping, especially after hearing about the dwindling population. But I may have to wait on that, I don't think my apartment complex would appreciate that hobby πŸ˜‹

@katyoora I received my first mentorship back in January of 2010. Spent a couple years in Japan working alongside a third generation beekeeper and veteran of 35+ years. I wouldn't start beekeeping with a flowhive though. It's kinda tricky unless you know what you're doing already. Besides, they kinda promote the thing as a sort of "hands free" beekeeping but what would be the fun in that?

I think it was advertised as a way for people in less rural areas to get into it, but I can't remember.

Bees are smart, important, and of course I've got to say cute. Everything you're working towards and sharing that experience with the world is o important. I can't wait to land a job in conservation and be as passionate about it as you are with your colony. #squadgoals

New follower here! πŸ™‹πŸΌ I love bees and your page. Even though my 6 yr old is deathly afraid. I try to teach her the importance of being a kind world-mate to her bee friends. Hopefully one day, with patience, she can grow to love them the way I do :-) greetings from Texas.
