Colder times in the jungles of western Washington. Here's a little throwback from January of Storrie (@storrieskalisky ) sending his first hard boulder problem; Leggo My Ego. After piecing together the (for me) crux bottom section, he couldn't quite manage to stick the last, massive, all points off dyno to the lip.
Next session, with all the dudes watching, he tried a little harder, and slam dunked it home. It was sick.
Summer is coming in 60 hours, cheers to more adventures with the boyz.

After 10 hours of driving, (most of that while lost on the same stretch of road) and a few hours hike through the dense, muddy forests of the western-most coast of Washington, we descended from the wooded hillside and set up camp on the coastline of Shi Shi beach.
An inky, lingering fog ensnared the landscape, and as we wandered closer to the splashing waves, drifting away with the steady retreat of the evening tide, the forest was obscured from view, and it became impossible to distinguish land, from ocean, from sky.
Transported to another universe, we wandered for what could have been hours or days down the eery coastline, until a pink and purple, cotton candy sunset broke through the gelatinous greyness and transported us back to that beach on the coast of Washington.
Thanks @storrieskalisky for capturing the moment, and @cory_tsai @evand706_ for inviting me on this awesome trip.

This one's for my homie Kyle. (@childofthedirt ) After failing on the first move hundreds of times, I finally managed to tick off the chossiest choss pile in Washington; The Shield V7. I think I actually get why people like it now. #choss #dyno #chossdyno

Wow, what an amazing weekend! Here's one the highlights: pushing past fear and self doubt and questing up the divine edges of the glorious highball "Light in the Attic". The reintroduction to school, homework and the real world today did not go well, please send help.

Here is @paul_nadler crushing Ebriosity at the Five Star boulder last weekend, whilst enveloped in a small orb of light contained within the great inky blackness of our infinite and rapidly expanding universe. #context #cosmicperspective #bouldering

New Leavy bloc! Could be a little taller, but the movement, holds, and rock quality are incredible! Hit me up for directions 🤘🏼

Finally got around to uploading one of my favorite videos I've ever made: a showcase of my 6 month long battle to top the mighty rock formation WAS V8 in Leavenworth. Check it out! **link in bio**

Seat belts on, folks.

Very psyched to have thrown down this super-duper-ultra-mega-classic, Becky's Problem V6. I'm pretty sure I did the last move the hard way 🤔

Just finished editing a short video of my second hardest climb to date; Real Imagination! Check it out and let me know what you think! Also, subscribe to my YouTube channel for future videos of climbing and maybe even other things that are not climbing;) #realimagination #bouldering #failure

Yes!!!!! Real Imagination (V9/10 or whatever) finally went down. Even though I could pretty easily do the individual moves, linking them all together into the last big dyno proved to be really difficult for me. I probably fell on the last move 50 times even after I had already figured out the "crux" sequence. The move became really mental for me, and it kind of felt like, no matter how hard I tried, something was going to pop off and I would be greeted with a familiar thud onto the rocky ground. Although today was supposed to be a rest day, windy and dry conditions tugged at my mind and I felt a familiar pull to go try again. Fourth try, something clicked in my head, I grabbed the familiar slippery pinch, and fucking held on. So happy to complete this weird, frustrating, and incredible boulder problem. **full video coming soon** #finally #realimagination #failure #is #fun
