Support our Chef Dan raising money for local Autism charities through the #biketothebeach. Click our Link in bio! 🚴🏻♂️
4 weeks from today I will be doing my fourth bike to the beach for autism. 10 years ago, if I had seen a post about autism awareness month, a person in a blue t-shirt, a puzzle piece...I wouldn’t have given it a second thought. Nowadays there’s a ribbon, month or day of awareness for pretty much everything under the sun, but unless it personally affects you or someone you love very much, it doesn’t tend to stay on your radar.
When my son received an autism diagnosis 4 years ago, I googled “charity bike rides for autism”. Suddenly I had something on my radar.
It makes me extra proud, honored, and grateful that over the past 3 years, you all have helped me raise over $15,000 for local autism charities in NY and NJ! That’s amazing and more appreciated than you know.
So, on this Autism Awareness Day, I’m asking once again for your support as I ride 100 miles from Battery Park in Manhattan to Westhampton Beach, Long Island on June 9th!
I do this for Edward. The sweetest, funniest, strongest 6 year old that I know. His road is steeper than most. Full of twists and turns, bumps and detours. But I have no doubt he will conquer it all and his voice will be heard. His struggles are our struggles. Together we’ll win.
If you’d like to support my ride this year, find out more information about the ride and a why it’s so important to me, just click this link.
Thank you so much, everyone.
