How to make traditional bone broth?
🔹Place good quality bones in a large pot add water and a splash of apple cider vinegar. Let the mixture sit for 1 hour without boiling 👉🏻the vinegar is necessary to extract minerals from the bones
🔹Next add the vegetables (carrots, celery, onion, garlic, leeks etc) and bring to a boil. Skim the foam from the top and discard.
🔹Reduce to a low simmer, cover, and cook for 24 hours (if you're not comfortable leaving the pot to simmer overnight, turn off the heat and let it sit overnight, then turn it back on and let simmer all day the next day)
☝🏻remember this is bone broth not a regular stock/broth which only boils for a few hours. What we are doing here is extracting the best nutrients from the bones to achieve the healing benefits.
