Josh Latham  Lugging 30 lbs. of camera gear as an excuse to go hiking. Eugene Oregon

Ocean spray and the Milky Way... Left house at midnight, grabbed Tyler and hit the beach. It was a rare, mostly cloudy night with no moon. I couldn’t get anything lined up with both the MW and an ocean scene, but we got some cool stuff regardless. Here’s a pano from outing.
Sleep is overrated, right?

This picture reminds of an Alaskan joke invoking a snowmobile that blew a seal... I don’t know if it’s because I was in Alaska or that it was so cold, my phone kept shutting down with decent battery percentage. Anyways, it was a quick little hike to a beautiful winter wonderland that had me... 🤤, until the wind gust hit me and my camera bag.
Happy Friday Eve!!

Taken the night before last.
Was a great week... Ready to get home and see my family. Excited to come back in a few weeks!!

Ran out last night after work and did some exploring. Didn’t realize how cold it was until my phone shut down at 20%.

Just chilling on the beach.

From the bottom of the falls... Full version will be in my story.

Tiff and I tried to get into Kentucky Falls a few days ago, but were met by a foot of snow going over Roman Nose. It wasn’t good snow, it was the slushy kind that isn’t any fun. After almost getting stuck, we decided to backtrack and hit Sweet Creek for a little hike. This is the top of Sweet Creek Falls.
Since ig has something against the top of my photos, this is what gets posted... I’ll put the full version in my story and it’ll be on Vero in its full glory, too.

Siuslaw Syrup... Because it’s one sweet maple. 🍁

You can’t always be in a great spot when the sky is about to blow up, so you have to make due with what’s handy.

Headed to the game tonight after goofing a little In the waterfront last. Go Blazers!!

Ran over to the coast looking for stars late last night, found some, but the lights from the crabbing fleet combined with the haze in the sky made it less than ideal... So, no Milky Way. On the way back through Florence, just to keep from getting skunked, I swung by one of my favorite coastal bridges.

I am fortunate enough to get to visit downtown Portland a few times a year for work... My real job. I’ll be back up next week teaching a class. Since I’m busy during the daylight hours, I usually go out with my camera at night to “see the city”.
