A true scientist is never afraid to admit he's wrong; in fact, he embraces it. The essence of science is to seek the truth. Period. There should be no ego in this pursuit. We form opinions based on what we know at a given point in time, but we must be willing to change our opinion if emerging evidence sheds new light on a topic. Here is a list of some (of many) topics that I've changed my mind about over the past decade based on emerging evidence both from my own studies as well as those of others. Take home message: Always be curious. Always be skeptical. Always have an open mind.

My advice, get back to your plan as soon as possible and don’t sweat the over-eating. A meal or two or a day of over-eating will not affect your progress. The scale weight gain is mostly water and will come off in 3-5 days. -
