A new report from World Animal Protection has revealed that every wildlife tourism entertainment venue in Bali with captive elephants, tigers, dolphins, or civet cats fails to meet even the basic needs of wild animals in captivity. Literally every single one. The organization’s Wildlife Abusement Parks report contains the results of an investigation into 26 wildlife tourism venues in Bali, Lombok, and Gili Trawangan that collectively house 1,500 animals.
In addition to finding that 100 percent of venues that showcase the aforesaid animals were in no way suitable for them, the report also shows that 80 percent of venues with primates did not meet the basic needs of the animals either. Almost all of these animals will spend the rest of their lives suffering in captivity, in outrageous conditions.

Scientists monitoring the presence of dolphins in the waters around northern Cyprus have found that dolphins have started breaking into fishing nets to get their share of the fish. Due to overfishing in the area resulting in a vast reduction in the amount of fish available for animals to feed on, dolphins have had to become creative about getting their meals.
Researchers found that dolphins were tearing into fishermen’s nets, and nets were six times more likely to be damaged in the vicinity of dolphins. Dr. Robin Snape, an ecologist at the University of Exeter, who led the study, said, “It seems that some dolphins may be actively seeking nets as a way to get food. Effective management of fish stocks is urgently needed to address the overexploitation that is causing this vicious cycle.” #eatfortheplanet #imagreenmonster #vegansofig #veganfood #Vegan #veganshare #plantbased #plantpower #healthy #eatclean #food #favorite #foodpics #plantbased #plantpower #veg #green #sustainable #sustainableliving #livegreen #greenisthenewblack #environment #environmentalism #savetheenvironment #ecofriendly #futureoffood #meetyourmeat #worldpositive

The Streetdog Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee recently rescued a special little puppy, Panama, named after the place she was found on Panama Street. The puppy, who was completely alone in the world, had found comfort in a big truck tire. She was left there with a small pink blanket, which showed that she most likely had had a guardian before. It’s likely the pup stayed in the tire because she could hide inside and feel protected from the outside world. Fortunately, Panama was saved from living in the streets and is now in good hands.

At the vet, it was confirmed that Panama was 12 weeks old, and she was started on her medication to treat the worms and mange. She also got her first round of puppy shots.

Baby Panama is safe and sound in a foster home where she can play with other dogs, children, and adults, which she absolutely loves. If everything goes according to plan, her fur will start growing back in after some time on the treatment, and she will be ready to start looking for her forever home soon!
