Happy Mother’s Day to the woman who raised me to be the man I am today.
You’ve taught me so much and I wouldn’t be where I am or who I am today if it wasn’t for you... You’ve taught me a lot of things but here are just 5 that I live by everyday.. things you’ve taught / said to me as a kid that stuck.. 1. Respect - How to always be respectful to others despite the situation or even if people are not respectful back.
2. “Mind your business” - Something you use to always tell me as a kid lol You NEVER let me get into anyone’s business... If it has nothing to do with you, if they did nothing to you.. stay out of it.
3. To love and forgive - How to love unconditionally.. with no judgements and always over power situations with love.
To forgive someone if they’ve hurt you, went behind your back or have said things about you. How the only way you can move forward and continue to love for others is if you fully forgive any situation and not carry unnecessary weight.
4. To be Strong - How we ALL have problems and struggles, how I am not the only one and there are people out there who have it worst. To see the light and fight these struggles instead of talk and become the victim. You are the strongest person I know because growing up I never knew you struggled and you overcame so much and now that I’m older to understand, you now explain to me the things that have happened and I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to be a child and not make me grow up so fast and learn things that I was not fully going to understand, and now that I’m older I try my best to be just as strong!
Last but not least.. 5. To not be selfish - To help others, be there for others, to lend a hand if someone is in need.. to not live for only myself but live for others as nothing will ever beat the feeling someone has when they’ve known you have been there for them. Thank you for being one hard strict mom but yet full of so much love!! ❤️
