Why? Because humans aren’t perfect beings and striving for perfection puts us on the fast track to hopelessness and frustration.

The uncomfortable truth? Body transformations are not a linear path. It’s never going to be as simple as 1 + 1 = 2. It be filled with hard choices. You will want to quit. You will become frustrated. Plan for it. Expect it. It’s part of the process.

So many people give up on their fat loss journey prematurely purely because they have unrealistic expectations. BUT, if you can keep the big picture in mind — and remember that progress is found in the daily grind:
.
▪️it’s skipping that 3rd slice of pizza
▪️it’s bringing your lunch to work
▪️it’s waking up early to ensure you complete your workout
.
It’s the daily process of making tiny micro-decisions that lead you closer to your goal at every opportunity.
.
You won’t suddenly wake-up one day and be in your dream body. You’re going to have to make a conscious effort to choose, every single day, foods and exercise routines that align with who you want to become. If you want to be a dancer or a bodybuilder, your daily habits will have to mirror that lifestyle.
.
In the pursuit of change, be prepared to practice patience and learn the lessons. The *only* way to successfully turn this into your ‘new normal’ is by making it as enjoyable as possible.
.
If you hate running, don’t run. Find another way to enjoy moving your body. If you hate broccoli, don’t eat it. Experiment with other vegetables until you find those you can effortlessly eat with consistency.
.
When you screw up, keep going. Chalk it up as a teachable moment and get back on track immediately. It’s a long road, but quitting doesn’t speed it up. ♥️

If you hate the gym, find ways to move your body that you ENJOY. Think outside of the box:
