It’s been one of the greatest mysteries in the residential world for three years: Who was the buyer behind the city’s most expensive closed residential deal, the $100.5 million penthouse at One57? The code – no pun intended – has now been cracked. It is Michael Dell, founder and CEO of Dell Technologies. The nine-figure deal puts the technology mogul in a club of one – until far pricier deals at 220 Central Park close.

At long last actress Demi Moore has sold her triplex penthouse in the South Tower of the San Remo co-op on CentralPark West. Moore put the home on the market in 2015 at $75 million. She later cut that ask by $16 million and now has parted ways with the 17-room residence for just $45 million. That’s a big cut, but still enough to make it the priciest sale ever at the historic Westside building. In 2015, Moore told the New York Times she was selling the property because she never had time to stay there. Bruce Willis, Moore’s ex-husband, is said to have paid about $7 million for the apartment more than 25 years ago, according to the Times.

Happy 150th Anniversary!

New York City’s Hudson Yards — the biggest private real estate project in American history— is getting a massive public centerpiece. The artful structure called “Vessel” will stand in the heart of the development’s outdoor public space mirroring the appearance of a hive or tornado.
The most striking part of the plan is the design for the building, which includes a 15-story maze of stairwells that connect to the top end of the High Line. It broke ground on April 18, and is expected to open in fall 2018.

Happy Easter 💜

Repost from @businessinsider - Located on Manhattan's far west side, the new complex at 520 West 28th Street was one of the last projects by Zaha Hadid, the world-renowned architect who died at age 65 in early 2016. She was the first woman and Muslim to win a Pritzker Prize, often considered the Nobel Prize of architecture. The complex will include 39 units, the most expensive of which is currently asking $50 million. Approximately 50% of the units are already in contract, according to StreetEasy. This new luxury condo complex that overlooks Manhattan's famed park, the High Line, is reported to open in June 2017.

Repost from @trdny - St Louis, eat your heart out. Oiio, an architecture firm based in New York and Athens, has dreamed up the Big Bend, an imaginary #skyscraper that would rise above Billionaires’ Row like the Gateway Arch. According to the firm, such a tower would be the “longest building in the world.” It resembles a skinnier version of the Gateway Arch, as well as two 432 Park Avenues conjoined at the top, and would tower over giants like Vornado Realty Trust’s 220 Central Park South, Extell Development Corp.’s One57 and JDS Development’s 111 West 57th Street.
