Everest region is the hardest place to shoot that I have been. Cold and altitude are making everything more complicated. You're not often out during the pretty hours like sunrise or sunset. And if you are, cold is draining the batteries, biting your fingers, you don't run around to pick the best angle. The more you go up, the more you have to pay because power is rarer, you end up thinking when you are about to turn the camera on. Each kilogram counts with altitude and it filters up a lot what gear you bring with you therefore the options you have. I took only one lens in order to cover a maximum but because of its size and weight, but I often just took out the phone and snapped like right here. The decor is so vast, vertical and abstract that it's tough to compose and frame. Mountains are so high above the horizon that it's dark for a long time after sunrise and before sunset. Harsh shadows during the day. Sagarmatha is tough from all points of view.
