This tsoureki or Greek Easter bread started off quite randomly. I bought a packet of mehlipi spices that I had no idea what to do with and then some helpful peeps on IG stories told me what it was for-tsoureki! This is my first tsoureki and this one has a twist-I used tangzhong roux to make it super soft so that would last until Easter Sunday! 🐣 Recipe is here:

I’m in chocolate heaven! This is an incredibly lovely gift from Jen @bakedowncakery featuring a range of her amazing Easter goodies. There’s salted caramel hazelnut praline truffles and a butterscotch “eggspresso” martini egg among all sorts of other goodies! Guys, guys, this turned out even better than I could have ever dreamt!! This Zuccotto or Italian mousse filled dome has a filling of Nutella and choc chip mousse, encased in a layer of soft hot cross buns. I used the @woolworths_au brioche style hot cross buns for this recipe! To finish it of, there’s a final layer of the richest chocolate icing and cocoa! Sooo good I promise! 🐇 🐇 #ad

Playing with foraged mushrooms today! I have a confession: I was too scared of leeches so I sort of just foraged at the edge of the road and didn’t quite make it into the depths of the pine forest (also serial killers). But thankfully everyone else was brave 😂 ☺️

I wish I were kidding when I say that popcorn is a large part of my eating life 😂 🤦🏻‍♀️ This is a “hot mess” popcorn (long story, check out the post) made with lots of nuts and spicy cayenne pepper 🌶 🍿
