Well 22 was one heck of a year for me. Ive made lifelong friends and reconnected with old childhood friends, traveled all over the east coast and to my father's homeland for the first time, became a release AIC in EMS and became the first black ski patroller in the southern division. But nothing could have prepared me for the number of family and friends that I lost this year. Many times during the the school year I would drive to a funeral 5 hours away, just for the night to show respect to these few people that have impacted my life.
Devin Smith Oct 2017: You were a person that was taken from this world way to soon. You always knew how to put a smile on anyone's face including the guards a the white house. You never dying love for the Eagles was made known to everyone everyday and I know your celebrating this Superbowl from above
Uncle Sid Feb 2017: Thank you for your service during WWII big guy. You were always the sharpest dressed person in the room any day of the week. Ill never forget you attempt at the mannequin challenge though didn't quite get the mannequin part to the challenge haha
Pat Buss Feb 2017: You were a powerful woman God that didnt tolerate bs. You strove to teach us in middle school how to be upright, ethical people while pushing our potential in our studies. Words cant encompass the legacy you left upon your former students
Aunt Doreen: Thank you for helping my father become the man he is today. From housing him back in Jamaica to caring for us in the US, you strove to put family first. Your passing was not in vain since it opened the door to your dream that you didnt get to see which is the unification of our family. You've tasked me, as one of the older cousins, to help guide the younger ones and be an example through love and kind correction like an older sibling
Irene Curry Jan 2018: You were a second mother to me when my mother long days and nights, you were a peacemaker when grandpa would get abusive, you were a leader that demonstrated her leadership through servitude, you gave me so many Klondike bars growing up that I can't even stand them as an adult. I can't thank you enough for everything you've done 4 me
