Can we talk training and tactics for a minute? .
I don't talk much about work anymore for reasons that I can't really talk about, but fuck it. This is important for the safety of cops as well as the people we're sworn to protect. So If I catch some heat for posting this, I really don't really give a shit. .
If you're a cop, even though the media, TV shows and movies portray us as lazy, out of shape, donut eating cops, you took a physically demanding job. .
Physically demanding is actually an understatement. Especially with negative outlook on police that the media loves to push, you could potentially be fighting for your life at any given point of any given day. .
It's been a few years now since I devoted my social media to promoting training and all around healthier lifestyle for first responders. My platforms have evolved a little, but my message stays the same. Whether you're a cop, fire fighter, EMT or member of the armed forces serving our country... training, physical fitness and overall health is a vital part of your career and life. .
One day you will be tested.... whether you're among the above listed first responders, military or even a plumber from Texas..... (Merica 🇺🇸) you will be put in a situation where your skills and/or level of fitness will either get you killed or seriously injured OR allow you to go home to your family. .
I'm not sure where some one being in shape became a joke or an opportunity to make fun of eachother, but no matter who you are, I guarantee that when you call for help you want the biggest baddest mother fucker there is showing up.... which is probably the guy you made fun of for being a meathead in the locker room. .
So do yourself a favor as well as your coworkers and the people we protect.... go train, improve your nutrition and take the necessary supplements to be the best version of yourself. .
This image from @davidmullis is from an awesome event with @1stphorm and @stlcountypd special operations who clearly take their training and fitness very seriously as they should. .
Stay safe boys! And thank you for everything! . .
