So as this week was my last week of freedom, I went to some cafes and restaurant I have in my places to visit list.
Came the beautiful Peggy Porschen Cakes with its pinky cuteness. I was very excited to go as this place seems like a place I can relax and definitely instaworthy 😄. Unfortunately my first experience was tainted with the rudeness of one staff towards me the customer and to her colleague.
It started with me goin to the counter ordering a cake, then I saw an empty table and asked if it was available. The girl who served me was polite and helpful, she told she would have to check as there was a waiting list for eating in, when she came back saying its not available, I thought alright I'll just do take away then and made my order. But then the girl came back and told me someone cancelled and I can actually have the table so I ordered a hot latte to go with my cupcakes.
Just as I was sitting down, another girl came and told me that I cant sit there. I tried explain to her I was told I can have this table and she gave me the look, shook her head and said No. I felt I was treated like a a table thief and confused as hell.
And so the girl who helped with the table came and explain, and the rude one was going at her 😐, telling her off in front of everyone (its a very small shop you see and not pleasant to see)..dramaaa. But rude girl didnt came with a solution either.
I do not want be blamed as a table thief..I am well educated enough to know how queueing works.
In the end I still have the table, finished my cupcake and latte and still left with less than favourable memory.
Not to generalize everyone at the shop. All the other girls at the shop were nice and the one who delivered my orders even apologized for the confusion.
Anywhoooooooo, setting that asidee. The cupcake I ordered ( strawberry and champagne) was a bit dry and too sweet to my liking but the bannoffee one is nice and chewy. I do feel its the shop decor and the ambience of the shop give the most attraction (rudeness aside). Will I go there again? I think one experience is enough for me👌. #peggyporschencakes
